How NEFF’s MultiPoint MeatProbe can save you time and keep your meat cooking flawlessly

Each recipe or cut of meat calls for a specific heat and time spent in the oven – which can be tricky to monitor when you’ve got lots on the go. For example, a medium-rare lamb needs an internal meat temperature of between 60-65°C, while chicken recipes call for a core temperature of around 73°C. Imagine if your oven could do some of the calculating and checking for you? Whether you’re tackling a classic roast or a more complicated recipe at your next dinner party, using a smart oven thermometer makes cooking meat a flawless and easy experience. All you need to do is focus on the flavour and accompanying feast, while your oven ensures that your meat dish is cooked to perfection – saving you time and serving up truly impressive home cooking to your guests. What is the NEFF MultiPoint MeatProbe? In any typical oven setup, you have to keep checking on your meat to ensure that it’s cooking correctly. But opening and closing the oven can inadvertently affect the cooking temperature. Luckily, NEFF’s wide range of oven appliances include ovens equipped with the MultiPoint MeatProbe – a thermometer that monitors the core temperature of your meat and controls the oven temperature accordingly. A sought-after accessory in any foodie’s home kitchen, the smart oven thermometer gets inserted into the meat at the start of the cook, helping the oven regulate the temperature and automatically adjust the cooking time as your dish warms up. When the core temperature of your dish reaches the optimum range the oven will automatically switch itself off, so you are ready to serve up your perfectly cooked feast. Recipes where a meat probe comes in handy A smart meat probe is a must-have for any roast recipe – from a delicious beef roast to a pork roast recipe that requires longer in the oven. Cuts of lamb are particularly hard to get right, but will turn out perfectly with a little help from a NEFF probe. Simply insert the probe into your meat, set your ideal core temperature and let the MultiPoint MeatProbe monitor the progress, automatically turning your NEFF oven off when the desired temperature is reached. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, a beef wellington gets a new simplicity when the temperature is monitored. Usually a complicated dish to get right, the pastry-covered dish comes out tender and juicy with an automatic probe on hand. And it’s not just traditional roasts that are made simple. Why not experiment with a flavourful baked snapper or preserved lemon and garlic chicken recipe? With the complicated steps taken care of, you can head out to socialise with your guests or perfect another element of your feast, without having to worry about over- or under-cooking your centrepiece. Which NEFF appliances come with the Multi Point MeatProbe? NEFF has both fullsize 60cm ovens and compact 45cm ovens which both include the MultiPoint MeatProbe. Browse our range of appliances that feature the MultiPoint Meat Probe and improve your home cooking abilities today.

Grown up lunchbox recipes

Here in the NEFF kitchen, we’ve got some tips, recipes and ideas for the perfect grownup lunch box – filled with fuel for when you’re heading back to work. No matter what you choose, variety is key. Try to make a few different things each week to keep it interesting, and don’t forget to pack some fresh fruit, nuts or raw vegetables and dips as a snack. Leverage your leftovers If you’re passionate about cooking delicious meals for your family and friends at home, chances are that your suppers are already hearty, wholesome and delicious. Why not kill two meals with one stone and make a little extra each evening? You can repurpose the leftovers the next day – an easy and stress-free addition to your lunch box. Hot tip: Some foods keep better than others, so ensure you plan ahead. For example, a serving of comforting Vegetable Gratin or just as good after a few nights in the fridge and a quick reheat in the oven, but a salad may not. Our Potato Focaccia also holds its flavour, making for a delicious second take once warmed up. Opt for quick and easy Not all meals require hours spent slaving over a stove. Whip up a lunch box meal that fills you up, but doesn’t fill up your time – you can make these the night before, or make use of your office kitchen if available. We love a plate of Tomato and Basil Linguini for lunch, which only takes 30 minutes to whip up alongside your dinner. Our Asian chicken meatball soup is just as easy – taking less than half an hour to throw together using the NEFF FullSteam function. Bite sized is the right size Sometimes, the hardest part of making lunch to go is trying to transport it in your bag without major spills or the hassle of plastic bags and extra packaging. If you can, choose easy-to-handle portions of your favourite meals when you’re planning your lunches. For example, our Chilli Thai chicken cakes are perfect for a small midday snack, best served with a small container of sweet lime dipping sauce. A slice of French onion quiche also makes for easy transportation, with no risk of mess. Or, why not try baking our aforementioned vegetable gratin in smaller individual containers to begin with? No serving needed, just delicious ready-to-go nutrition.

Make these recipes in advance to save time on Christmas Day

While we love cooking up the kind of delicious Christmas feast that makes everyone undo their top button and sneak away for a post-lunch nap (before returning to devour seconds and thirds) it can be disappointing to spend the entire day holed up in the kitchen peeling potatoes, while the rest of your family spends time together. Some parts of your meal, such as roast turkey, should definitely be cooked on the day, but there are some delicious Christmas recipes for desserts and sides that can be made in advance to save you time on the day. Freeze your gravy Sure it might not be the most difficult menu item to make on the day, but every minute saved can be worthwhile on Christmas day. If you’re making it the day before, your gravy can be stored in the fridge, but if storing in the freezer it can be kept for up to three months. On the day, simply defrost and heat up before serving. For added flavour and a silky consistency, stir through the juices from your roast turkey or chicken as you heat it up on the stove. Pre-cook your stuffing Who doesn’t love a generous serving of stuffing? Perhaps the best thing about this addition to the table is that it can be completely cooked in the week before Christmas and stored in the freezer. Defrost and heat up just before you serve your lunch for a delicious side everyone loves. Christmas desserts to make ahead The main course isn’t the only place you can save time on Christmas Day, in fact many of our beloved Christmas desserts can be made well ahead of time. Our can be stored in the fridge for one week or the freezer for one month, to be reheated prior to serving. You can also cook up some delicious gingerbread or traditional shortbread in the lead up to Christmas Day, and have them plated, as ornaments or elegantly stacked up to make a delicious edible centrepiece. Sides to make the day before Salads to serve on the side of your meal are usually quick and easy to prepare on the day from fresh ingredients, but for even richer flavours you can prep some of them in advance. Planning on serving our pumpkin salad recipe or our hasselback pumpkin? Pre-roast your pumpkin the day before so they’re ready to assemble in the morning. If cooking our honey bacon Brussels sprouts the day before, simply store in the fridge overnight and warm up before serving. We all want to give our family a wonderful meal on Christmas Day, but following these tricks and making a few things in advance will ensure you’re not missing out on any of the important memories from the day either.
