As we kick into the new year, the interior design world is preparing for the slew of kitchen trends that are set to take 2024 by storm. 1. Sustainable cooking

Sustainable kitchen design is a popular trend that’s here to stay. To embrace sustainability in your kitchen design, make the most of natural light by including skylights or more windows. And if you’re building a kitchen from the ground up or renovating your existing one, then opt for materials that are recycled where you can. For example, using recycled timber for kitchen cabinetry or upcycling a timber benchtop into a new dining table.

For your appliances, ensure that they have a high energy and water star rating. The higher the rating, the more energy efficient and water-savvy your kitchen will be, which can help reduce your environmental impact.
